IOL calculation begins with lens eligibility

CER-AI 3.0: From report photos to IOL and toric planning

Photograph or upload supported Pentacam and IOLMaster biometry reports. CER-AI uses AI-assisted reading to extract measurements for surgeon review, assess lens-category suitability and calculate spherical IOL power with toric planning when indicated. From the same web workflow, the surgeon can transfer reviewed measurements and the selected lens to ESCRS, including Toric mode for supported toric lenses, without installing an application or retyping the same biometry.

Enter the patient name, age and biological sex, then upload the supported report photographs. CER-AI reads the measurements, recommends suitable lens categories and lets the surgeon choose the lens before calculation. Missing or unreadable information requires confirmation.

Readable source reports, required clinical information, surgeon lens selection and confirmation remain necessary. ESCRS calculation takes place in the external ESCRS session; automatic import of its results into CER-AI is not claimed. The embedded toric optical model remains a test-only prototype requiring independent verification.

CER-AI is designed to connect Pentacam-based corneal assessment with lens-category eligibility, toric-need assessment, the surgeon’s preferred lens family, and spherical IOL power calculation in one auditable workflow.

Which IOL category is suitable?

The IOL calculation and selection workflow first reviews the clinical and optical inputs for monofocal, enhanced monofocal, EDOF and multifocal eligibility. It then considers toric need. The surgeon decides which IOL and lens family to use; eligibility support does not choose a lens or establish a patient-specific prescription on its own.

The integrated workflow

1 · UploadUpload the defined Pentacam sources and required biometry report.
2 · AssessEvaluate optical and clinical eligibility for monofocal, enhanced monofocal, EDOF, or multifocal categories.
3 · RouteDetermine whether the measured regular corneal astigmatism requires toric planning.
4 · ChooseThe surgeon selects the preferred lens family; CER-AI does not make this choice autonomously.
5 · CalculateCalculate spherical IOL power with Cooke K6 when the required inputs are complete, then continue to toric planning when indicated.

AI-assisted image reading, spherical IOL power and toric planning in one platform

CER-AI reads supported Pentacam and IOLMaster biometry report images with AI assistance, reducing repeated manual transcription of readable measurements. Once required measurements, clinical information and surgeon-selected lens parameters are complete, spherical IOL power calculation and, when indicated, toric model and axis planning are brought together in the same platform. This integrated workflow reduces the need to re-enter the same measurements across separate calculation screens. Missing or unreadable fields require confirmation; Pentacam corneal images alone do not supply all biometry needed for IOL power calculation. The surgeon reviews the extracted data and final plan. Independent manufacturer-calculator verification of toric results remains required.

This describes CER-AI’s integrated workflow; it is not a claim that competing systems lack IOL or toric calculation.

Clinical boundary: CER-AI supports—not replaces—surgeon judgment. Source-image quality, contraindications, ocular examination, biometric plausibility, lens availability, constants, and the final lens decision remain the surgeon’s responsibility.
